PRICE AGREED – Gilsland Community Benefit Society Limited (GCBSL) have agreed to purchase The Samson Inn at the asking price of £295,000 subject to Funding and subject to Contract!!
The Community now has a fantastic opportunity to secure a forever pub for Gilsland, which will complement all the other wonderful groups, organisations and businesses in the community.

The Community now has a fantastic opportunity to secure a forever pub for Gilsland, which will complement all the other wonderful groups, organisations and businesses in the community.
Due to the date Community Ownership Fund (COF) money may be available to GCBSL we now need to act quickly and prove the level of support in the Community– we are therefore launching our Share Pledges on 7th December.
Quite simply, a Share Pledge will let GCBSL know how many people are interested in in buying shares, you do not have to commit to anything at this point and it is not legally binding – if we are successful with our bid for a COF grant, then we will move onto the formal process. But do please let us know ASAP – thank you.
The price of share (£1 – minimum of £25) has been agreed to encourage all of our Community to be involved in this wonderful enterprise.
